Photo Shoot at the Rhine Harbor

Photographer for Photo Documentation - authentic, dynamic, stylish
Why professional photos?
I had almost given up on professional photography.
Smartphones and AI, I thought, were turning pictures taken by a professional into something we no longer really needed.
But the opposite is true.
During my last recent projects, I realized how crucial real interaction, visual appeal, and my own style actually are.
After all, we all want the things that matter to us to be handled by people who know what they’re doing.
This applies to the chef, the specialist, the doctor, the pilot – and, of course, to the photographer.
A professional doesn’t just take a nice picture, but portrays you in a way that not only looks good, it makes an impact.
What has changed in photography?
Pictures don’t have to be “perfect” anymore.
You want them to look authentic and genuine.
And don’t underestimate the fun factor.
A photo shoot is an unforgettable experience – you will see and feel it right in the pictures.

Art vs. artificial
In my view, art should inspire, spark curiosity for new things, encourage reflection – or simply be beautiful.
Through contemporary dance, I first discovered stage lighting in theater, and that led me to stage photography.
Under challenging conditions, I learned to capture the moment when everything comes together – the background, the foreground, and the dancer blending into one harmonious image.
Demanding light situations, extremely fast movement, and the fact that I couldn’t really direct the person I wanted to photograph turned me into a quiet observer – and at the same time into a decisive photographer whose role is to catch the right moment without controlling everything.
Event & Portrait Photography
This way of working might set me apart from other photographers.
At events, I know how to stay in the background and only step forward when the moment calls for it.
Even during a portrait shoot, I interact directly with the person in front of the camera – but I do much more behind the scenes to create the mood needed for them to appear relaxed and authentic, serious, or simply likable.
For me, contrived poses and overly staged scenes are counterproductive.
I’d much rather refer to art, which I believe exists to convince, to make an impact, or simply to bring beauty into a space.

How I work as a photographer
I have been working as a photographer in Karlsruhe, across the region, and internationally for over 20 years.
I enjoy photographing people in action, at special occasions, or simply to create up-to-date photos of themselves and their loved ones.
My photo shoots are never boring – that would be crazy.
First, we talk about the location, how the photos will be used, who will be in them, which outfits make sense, and what budget you have in mind.
Prices & images
I’m flexible when it comes to pricing.
What I really don’t like is holding back good photos from you.
I often end up with 600 to 1,000 photos – and at events, that number can easily reach 2,000 to 5,000.twolovesstudio (https://twolovesstudio.com/blog/supplying-images-to-your-client/)
Of course, some of them won’t make the final selection. But many images that are not “perfect” in a technical sense are still very valuable to one person or another.
That’s why we discuss your desired motifs, how much post‑processing you need, and any other expectations in detail beforehand.
Once everything has been sorted out, everyone is more relaxed – and the excitement for the shoot and the resulting photos starts to build.
